M&M Horse Club – Minutes of the 2/23/08 Meeting

 

The meeting was called to order at 11:55AM by Craig Weigel (President)

Attendance: Craig Weigel (President), Alisha Weigel (Secretary), Amanda Stenbak- White (Treasurer), Ed Chandler (Delicate at Large), Joan Stenbak, Ruth Weigel, JoAnn Garrison, Rebecca Alderton, Wilma Johnston, Judy Kulsziski.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

OLD BUSINESS:

Entry Fees: Members --- Adult- $5.00 per class up to 3 classes & $20.00 for unlimited classes (4 or more classes)

Youth- $5.00 per class up to 2 classes & $10.00 for unlimited classes (3 or more classes)

Non Members --- $ 5.00 per each class (youth or adult)

 

Check on insurance for parades!!

 

Ribbons: $0.40 each plus tax from Mohr’s Trophies in Florence. I t was agreed upon that we purchase our ribbons from them.

 

Show Time: Sign up starts at 8:30AM & the show will start as soon as practical.

 

Bylaws: We were to go over all bylaws that Susan Ashby passed out at the last meeting. (Didn’t have time to go over them) None of them were agreed upon & in was agreed upon to vote on bylaws at the next meeting.

 

Vice President: Sherry Gile resigned from Vice President due to health issues. So we need a new vice president. So we will be taking nominations for Vice President. We will be voting at the March 29th meeting for Vice President.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Bylaws: Motion made by Amanda Stenbak- White that she will send the three sets of bylaws out to all members they can go over them & we can vote on which set of bylaws we want – Seconded by Rebecca Alderton – Motion passed.

Vice President: last day to nominate persons for Vice President will be March 22nd at the show.

Judy Kulsziski nominated Susan Ashby for Vice President – Rebecca Alderton seconded the nomination. Joan Stenbak nominated JoAnn Garrison for Vice President – Ruth Weigel seconded the nomination.

 

Ribbons & Awards: Amanda Stenbak- White made a motion to give Joan Stenbak the money to buy ribbons for the March 22nd show – motion seconded by Judy Kulsziski – motion passed unanimously.

 

Amanda Stenbak- White made a motion to have a budget of $30.00 per show for high point awards – seconded by Joan Stenbak – motion passed

 

Amanda Stenbak- White made a motion to have just one series for high point year end awards – seconded by Joan Stenbak – motion passed

 

Shows: Craig Weigel made a motion to have a $5.00 year end high point fee per horse, which will/ must be paid only once a year per horse – seconded by Joan Stenbak – motion passed.

 

Amanda Stenbak- White made a motion to add a stallion halter class for the youth the age of 13 & older – seconded by Alisha Weigel – motion passed

 

Alisha Weigel made a motion to add a open model class to each gender one for the under division and one for the over division – seconded by Joan Stenbak – motion passed

 

Craig Weigel made a motion to add a driving obstacle class one for the Adults, one for the youths & one for the PMCs – seconded by Joan Stenbak – motion passed

 

Other: Joan Stenbak made a motion to donate $25.00 for use of the arena as affordable – seconded by Amanda Stenbak- White – motion passed

 

Amanda Stenbak- White made a motion to have Susan Ashby make a prototype of the towel (to put over the horse for parades – seconded by Joan Stenbak – motion passed

 

Next club meeting will be March 29th 2008 at 11:30AM
